No. TuneLockr and a collective management society do not have the same role.

TuneLockr allows you in particular to document the existence and provenance of a version of your creation. A collecting society — SACEM in France, ASCAP or BMI in the United States, PRS for Music in the United Kingdom, GEMA in Germany, SIAE in Italy, SOCAN in Canada, among others depending on your country — can handle the declaration and management of certain rights. These procedures can complement each other.

No. TuneLockr provides documentation, management, and tracking tools relating to your creations.

For specific legal questions, complex contracts or significant disputes, it might be necessary to consult a legal professional.

From the deposit process, add the relevant creation and fill in the requested information.

TuneLockr then associates the deposit with a date, the information provided, and a digital fingerprint corresponding to the version of the file submitted.

The certificate ties together a date, a cryptographic fingerprint, and the deposit information to a specific version of your file.

It helps establish a timeline and can be kept among the useful evidence in the event of a dispute. It does not, by itself, determine the final ownership of rights.

A demo, beat, topline or production can circulate quickly between collaborators, clients, labels and platforms.

Open “My creations”, click on the title of a piece whose file is audio or video (deposits such as lyrics, PDFs or images are not included in detection), then click “Activate monitoring” on the Monitoring card of the record.

The work will then show 'Monitoring in progress — no detection for now'. The tracking starts in the background and may take a few minutes to become fully active.

No. A technical match does not automatically equate to a legal conclusion regarding plagiarism, infringement or unlawful use.

TuneLockr displays signals and their context to help you review them yourself.

The Rights Inbox is the space that gathers all detected signals on your monitored works, organised in five tabs: All, To review, Covered, Unauthorised and Processed.

It remains empty until a match is detected online — this is normal. The counters for each tab update as soon as a signal appears.

This means that an authorisation or known licence in TuneLockr appears to match the context of the detected use.

This is a status to help you understand the data, not an automatic legal decision.

Open the report from the Rights Inbox to view its details, then choose an action: "I have authorised", "Report" or "Ignore". The status changes immediately and the report moves to the "Processed" tab; the decision history remains available.

You can also open an evidence file from the details of a report, then export it as a timestamped PDF containing the related reports. Each export generates a separate, independent file.

Yes. From the Rights Inbox, open "Check a file", paste the relevant URL and then click "Check".

Yes. On the details page of the relevant work, switch off monitoring in the Surveillance card. The work will revert to inactive status; the history of already detected reports remains available.

Yes. The Licences module provides for specific permissions related to certain AI uses.

The aim is for these rights to be explicitly stated in the licence terms rather than left implicit.

In the context of a TuneLockr licence, this permission concerns whether or not authorisation is granted to use the work in an AI model training or adaptation process.

This permission is intended to clarify whether certain uses of the work in a generative process are permitted by the licence.

AI Origin Check (also called AI Detection) is a separate feature that identifies if a track seems to have been generated by artificial intelligence, accessible from the "Advanced analyses" card in a work's details.

It is not yet available and cannot be activated today, including via the Pricing page. The dedicated page will explain its operation and limitations when it is released.

The model does not charge any TuneLockr service fees when a licence is granted for free.

The current model for TuneLockr licences applies a service fee of 10 % when a paid licence is actually paid for via the platform.

Any fees relating to the payment provider may be separate.

A paid licence must not be considered active just because the browser returns from a payment page: the status must be confirmed server-side.
